The show

Poland is not explained here. It is felt.

Instead of another city tour, PolkLore invites visitors into a living story of Poland. During one evening, live performers lead you through legends, historical turning points, traditional costumes and rhythms that still belong to Polish celebrations today.

Meanwhile, AI-generated cinematic images build a visual world for the story: forests, royal courts, old Warsaw, memory and rebirth. However, the dancers remain the living heart of the experience.

Six chapters of Polish heritage

History told through dance

In PolkLore, each dance becomes a chapter of history. Then, from the gentle Kujawiak of early Poland through the proud Krakowiak, the noble Polonez, the fiery Mazur, the joyful Polka and the unstoppable Oberek, the evening follows Poland across centuries..

The result is a danced timeline: one thousand years of history told through movement, music, legends and cinematic images.

Real performers. Real cultural practice. A story told from within the tradition.

Created with real experience

Created by people who live Polish culture

PolkLore grows from years of work with Polish folk culture, live performance and cultural storytelling. Behind the show are performers and organisers connected with SWATY Folk Ensemble, a Warsaw-based group presenting Polish traditions on stage and for international audiences.

PolkLore also builds on experience gained through Szlachtograjka, an earlier historical performance project combining live actors, costumes and visual storytelling.

This is not culture designed from a distance. It is created by people who know the movement, the costume, the music and the emotion behind the traditions they present.
